MAXIN BLUE SUNDAY DRIVE IN DREAMLAND ALBUM HISTORY

This music was recorded at the Room 29 Recording Studio in Westerly, RI.

The CD with all the artwork, booklet, and images was published and manufactured by Kimjon Entertainment Inc. in 2000 at the drummer's residence.
The band members of MAXIN BLUE consist of:
Anne Gonsalves: Lead Vox, Backing Vox, and Percussion
Andrea Vang: Lead Vox, Backing Vox, and Keyboards
James Carper: Lead Vox, Backing Vox, Bass Guitar, and Acoustic Guitar
John M. Laabs: Backing Vox and Drums
Rick Stannard: Backing Vox, Voice on Sunday Drive, and all Rhythm and Lead Guitars

MAXIN BLUE derived from a cover band called Jane Doe. The sounds man from Jane Doe asked the drummer at work one day if he could sit in on a couple of gigs Jane Doe had booked. A group of good guys lost the drummer and didn't want to cancel the gigs. So the drummer played the gigs and the rest id history! The members were fun, down to earth, and the drummer lasted for quite some time. He expressed creating some songs and next a bunch of remakes were created: Walk Like an Egyptian, Down By the River, Someone To Love, ect. A few months later the bass player started jamming all kinds of riffs and songs emerged. Next all the members were contributing to all kinds of new songs. Not sure what to call this effort, the name MAIXIN BLUE came from the drummer's son. He was always in blue and in time, MAXIN BLUE was the official name.

This work was created and recorded from March to October of 1999. It began at the drummer residence on a Yamaha AW4416 (Pre-recordings) and finally recorded in the studio with Dave Negrelli and Brian Sargent at Room 29. Brian helped with the recording, acted as a mixing engineer, and provided a vocal at the end of My Disguise. Kim Laabs also provided a vocal at the end of My Disguise. The Room 29 recording was assembled with Pro Tools using a stack of VHS tape decks for syncing for the multiple tracks.

Dave (Speedy) Gonzales performed as the sound engineer, technician, and stage coordinator. John (Juan) Gonzales handled the lights and also supported the sound and stage. All the songs on this disc were produced by MAXIN BLUE and Brian Sargent. Song arrangement by MAXIN BLUE.

Special thanks to Dave Shea and Randy Jason for stage and recording equipment. Special thanks to S.J. for radio play. Thanks to our friends and relatives who helped and supported this creative work during this effort.

The disc images were created by the drummer. The 1973 Triumph Spitfire on the cover is his mother taking the car for a spin. The cloud images were taken from a plane when flying from the east coast to the west coast. The name SUNDAY DRIVE IN DREAMLAND came from merging a couple songs together.
