This music was created on a Yamaha AW4416 from April to November of 2003. The CD for this version was published and manufactured by Kimjon Entertainment Inc. in 2003 at the drummer's residence. The band members of DEEBOLAY consist of: Jim Carper: Lead Vox, Backing Vox, Bass, and Acoustic Guitar John Laabs: Backing Vox and Drums Rick Stannard: Lead Vox on Friend to Foe, Backing Vox, and all Rhythm and Lead Guitars
The band dissolved shortly after the DEEBOLAY UNLEASHED disc was recorded. The Drummer mastered and published the first version of UNLEASHED in December of 2003. Although Colors You Breathe was added to the UNLEASHED song list, it was never completed as the vocals and other layers are missing from the track. Refer to the MAXIN BLUE CD to hear the original version of Colors You Breathe, or refer to the UNLEASHED RIX MIX version to hear Rick and Jim's completed version of Colors You Breathe.
Later in April of 2004, the guitarist and bass player created another UNLEASHED mix. It is available on Amazon and other websites for purchase and download.

After another successful birthday party at the drummer's house, exhausted with birthday party cleaning. Rick and Jim showed up about 7:15PM to help load gear into the 1985 blue Ford van. They were kind enough to let John rest for an hour and they even gave John's drums a quick shine. After Kim picked up Jessica to watch the birthday twins, we jumped into the van (with Rick and Jim following) and headed to an event called the "AMUSE" (Area Musicians United for Self-Expression) for original bands to perform. A show put together by Art Falcony from a band called "Mars Slingshot". This was the third show of its kind and featured Champagne Johnny, DEEBOLAY, and Century Project. It's outstanding to see an Original effort being assembled locally. This event was located at the Bank Street Café in New London, CT. The first band, Champagne Johnny, was an excellent band to listen to. Their music was a cross between Irish-Scottish and an African sound. My personal favorite was a song called, "Whisper of Love". The last band, Century Project, sounded like the band Ten Thousand maniacs. The club was pretty spars, with only about 30-35 people. Jeff, the club owner, loved Jim's voice. I spoke with Jeff and Art about a week ago hoping to maybe play sometime this Summer with other original acts. The May 19th 2001 gig fell apart with one band traveling south, and another band's guitarist hurting his hand. So with very little notice, 5 Days to get the word out, and our annual Birthday party happening, we decided play. And play we did! Not printed on the disc is when Jim broke a string on his five string bass. He grabbed his old four string bass and had all kinds of trouble with the new songs. We took a short break so he could take a string off the old bass to put on the new one. All-in-all, it was a lot of fun and thanks to Art with the two DAT tapes running, we were fortunate to create this disc. Andrea Vang from Maxin Blue played the keyboards and sang backup vocals on this performance. Thank you SJ for videotaping the night. DEEBOLAY eventually played 3 AMUSE shows and the following image it what the drummer used for all 3 discs.
